Do you always buy the latest console when they're released or do you wait a few years and then get the newest one?

No, I wait for it to get "bug tested" first, the first ones always have issues, so it's best to let them get everything sorted out first and wait, plus dealing with preorders and scalpers and deliberate supply holdups...no thanks!

I remember when the Xbox 360 and PS3 were riddled with problems. I'd have to say those were the most unstable console generations ever.

I don't always do this, but I did recently upgrade to the newest model Series X. It's digital with an improved coolant system.

Oh absolutely!! My first 360 red ringed so many times I had to call the 4-my-xbox number to get the coffin shipped and send it in to be fixed and shipped back so, so many times. It was such a hassle! I replaced that one eventually, no issues, then the S came out and it was absolutely flawless. The PS3 had pretty similar issues at launch but they were quick to fix them, then they eventually replaced them with non backwards compatible ones which was a bummer!

Not always. For example, I’m perfectly okay using my older PS5 instead of the newer one. The upgrade is not worth it to me.

I wanted to purchase the PS5 when it came out, but couldn't due to the low availability. In the end, it didn't bother me as much when they eventually were available. I think I waited another few months then.
