I bet. There's so much wearing out quickly at those temperatures. Cars aren't build for extreme colds and extreme heats.

There's a line of Toyota cars that are very popular:

This is the vitz series. All of its refrigeration systems were built with bakelite components. After a year of use, you can see all of its tubes melted.
