How often do you upgrade your gadgets?

When a new gadget comes out, users tend to get the latest one immediately so that they will not feel outdated. And of course to enjoy maximum features it is advisable to keep up to date with these gadgets.
But many still choose to continued their previous versions for reasons best known to them.

Do you upgrade your gadgets to recent ones immediately?

I only update when the ones I have quit working.

A couple of years ago I got a message from my cell phone carrier that the model phone I had was no longer supported and would not be allowed on their network in a couple of months. So I had to replace it.
