Do you use dating apps to meet new people?

Why or why not?

I've tried using them, but I was always ignored. I would rather meet someone organically than through an online service where you never know who you could be dealing with behind the opposite side of the screen.

I've used them in the past (about 11 years ago). Not necessarily for meeting a romantic partner, though - I was mainly using those apps to meet some people in a place I had moved to without knowing anyone there.

I did not like it. At some point, I remember there were so many people talking to me, it felt like a chore to reply to them and I could not even remember who was who, which eventually just led to me deleting the app and going out to meet new people.

I don't have time to be on dating apps. I am rather more focused on building stronger relationships outside dating apps instead, and it has really worked for me so far, so good.

I have heard a lot of horrible stories about those that tried dating apps. I don’t think it is what I want for myself. I will rather do the cold physical approach.
