A common fear among people tend to be the fear of insects and arachnids too. I've been afraid of them since I was a kid, but I now have a better appreciation for insects since I started browsing the insect sub reddits. I have a better appreciation for the little guys, though I still hate spiders. I try to go out of my way to rescue insects when they get stuck in my house, unless it's a house centipede because they're fast and they eat other insects that are pests.
