Ooooh, I love the Yamaha MT09! I did my lessons on an MT07. The MT09 is just awesome - I've looked at some myself, too.

Regardless, I'm going for a new CFM 800NK Nebula:

Mostly because it's more affordable than the MT09 for now. But, if I would get the MT09, it'd be this version:

They are actually kind of similar.

They are indeed very similar. I hate how the number plate covers the rear wheel. It's stupidly designed. Luckily that's an easy fix to mount in to the rear next to the turn signals. I do like that CFM though, looks brutal! The pipes being in the middle is definitely a nice touch. How much would that set you back?

Yeah, not a huge fan of that either, but it's fixable I suppose haha. I think you should be able to get it with a different mount. The exhausts in the middle are actually what I personally really liked about them, too, as well as the back tire. It also looks great in-person - a friend of mine has one too. It's a perfect size for me (since I'm not very tall), it's pretty compact (which I think it pretty 'cute' in some way for a female rider too) and very light in weight.

It's somewhere between 8.7k - 9k (depending on where you buy it, of course), brand new. So that's quite a price difference with a new MT09. :D

Yeah, you're right. It's a couple of grand cheaper. Some day, when we both have our new bikes, we need to meet up and have a drive together. :D

I agree! Sounds like fun! :D

It's pretty hard to find people to ride with - I have some friends who ride, but unfortunately they hardly ever want to, except for the guy who owns that NK800. And to be fair, I would rather go with 1 or 2 people I know than with an entire group of strangers. I guess it could be fun, but still ... I'd just rather not for some reason.

Oh for sure, I'm like that too. And I don't speed too much. Rather have a chill ride than having to keep up with everyone.
